The Carolina Hurricanes dominated the 1st and 3rd periods in a 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators as each team closed out the preseason at PNC Arena. Carolina lost 5-1 in Nashville. But, on the bright side, Antti Raanta and Pyotr Kochetkov each played well. Raanta made 21 saves and was very good in spite of allowing 5 goals in 2 periods. Kochetkov was spectacular in comfortably handling 13, 3rd period shots to keep his sheet clean.
