The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders 4-0 last night at Lenovo Center. Tyson Jost, Joran Staahl and others had notable performances. The Hurricanes are winning thr games they need to win. Can they keep this up? The Hurricanes have now won 2 games in a row and play again Friday against the Washington Capitals at 7pm.

The North Carolina Tar Heels lost to the #7 Florida Gators last night 90-84. UNC came back from down 17 points and took the lead, but fell short in the end. RJ Davis had a game high 29 points and added 8 rebounds. The Tar Heels will look to get back in the winning column this Saturday at 3pm against the UCLA Bruins. The Tar Heels are 6-5 on the season. Cooper Flagg and the #5 Duke Blue Devils defeated the George Mason Patriots at Cameron Indoor Arena last night 68-47. Flagg scored 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in what was his last game before he turns 18. With the win, Duke has now won 5 straight games. The Blue Devils next game is against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this Saturday at noon.
