With Friday’s announcement that Wolfspeed will make semiconductor chips in Chatham County, and previous big announcements by Toyota and VinFast, NC is quickly filling holes in the new economy, with a focus on electric vehicles. A new manufacturing hub is growing in the NC core, bringing jobs and money. It will impact North Carolina’s economy for decades to come.
