With the victory, the Italian world No. 1 secured his second consecutive Wimbledon crown. For the women, Ninth seed Linda Nosková won the Ladies' Singles title, defeating her Czech compatriot. Karolína Muchová 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in an intense final on Centre Court. At 21 years old, Nosková became the youngest Wimbledon women's champion since Petra Kvitova in 2011.
