Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss the firing of Hubert Davis, upcoming NCAA Tournament  games and more.

The upcoming NCAA Tournament games are shaping up to be some of the most exciting matchups of the season. With the early rounds underway, several top-seeded teams are facing off against underdogs hoping for a Cinderella run and the bracket is already full of potential upsets. Fans are eagerly watching key battles in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, where powerhouse programs will clash for a spot in the Final Four. Do you see any surprises on the horizon with these games?

The University of North Carolina has moved on from head coach Hubert Davis after a disappointing end to the 2026 season. The decision came after UNC’s early exit from the NCAA Tournament, where the team lost in the first round to VCU Rams despite blowing a 19-point second-half lead. This marked a second straight underwhelming postseason performance and added to broader concerns about inconsistency during Davis’s tenure. Although he led the Tar Heels to the national championship game in 2022 and compiled a strong overall record, the program also missed the tournament in 2023 and failed to meet the high expectations associated with UNC basketball. Ultimately, the school decided a change was necessary, officially firing Davis yesterday and beginning a national search for its next head coach. Did UNC make the right decision? What went wrong for Hubert? Did UNC handle this right? Was this expected? How do the UNC fans feel? Should the next coach be "outside the family?"
