Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss OKC’s Game 2 win over the Spurs last night, which evened the Western Conference Finals and how injuries and defensive adjustments, especially against Victor Wembanyama, could shape the rest of the series.

The Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder is tied 1-1 after the first two games, setting up what looks like a highly competitive series. San Antonio opened the matchup with a 122-115 road win in Oklahoma City, immediately stealing home-court advantage. The Thunder responded in Game 2 last night with a 122-113 victory to avoid falling into a difficult 0-2 deficit before the series shifts to San Antonio for Games 3 and 4. In Game 2, Victor Wembanyama had a strong but heavily pressured performance as the Oklahoma City Thunder focused their defensive game plan on limiting his impact inside and disrupting his rhythm early. Despite the attention, Wembanyama still found ways to contribute through scoring, rim protection and stretching the floor, but he was less dominant than in Game 1 because Oklahoma City’s length, physicality and defensive rotations limited his clean touches. On the injury front, OKC’s Jalen Williams left the game with a hamstring injury and did not return and for the Spurs, rookie guard Dylan Harper exited with a leg injury, while De’Aaron Fox was already sidelined with an ankle issue. Did you have an issue with how OKC guarded Wemby? How will injuries affect this series?
