NFL: Arizona Cardinals Snap Five-Game Skid, Defeat Dallas Cowboys 27-17

Reese, Pam and Alex discuss the Cowboys loss to the Cardinals.

The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Dallas Cowboys 27-17 last night on Monday Night Football, snapping a five-game losing streak and improving their record to 3-5, while the Cowboys fell to 3-5-1. With Kyler Murray sidelined, veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett stepped up for Arizona, throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns while adding a rushing score.

For Dallas, Dak Prescott completed 24 of 39 passes for roughly 250 yards with one touchdown and one interception, but the Cowboys’ offense was held to just 10 offensive points. The Cowboys’ only major highlight came on special teams, when they blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. Despite that spark, defensive lapses and offensive inefficiency proved costly.

The win was a big morale boost for the Cardinals, showing they could compete even without their starting quarterback. For the Cowboys, however, the loss heavily threatened their playoff hopes as the season moves into its second half.
