The Knicks overcame a 20-point deficit in the second half, entering the fourth quarter down by nine points. Their resilience led to a hard-fought overtime win with Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby leading the team with 29 points. Mikal Bridges made a pivotal steal from Jaylen Brown in the final seconds, sealing the victory for the Knicks.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum each scored 23 points for Boston, but the team struggled to maintain their early lead in the second half as the Celtics missed 45 three-pointers in the loss. The Knicks now lead the series 1–0 and will look to continue their momentum in Game 2.
