Last night, NC State defeated VCU 85-79 in a non-conference matchup. Darrion Williams led the way with 28 points, while Tre Holloman added 25 points. Matt Able contributed 12 points off the bench, and former Tar Heel Ven-Allen Lubin grabbed 9 rebounds and scored 11 points. Despite committing 17 turnovers, NC State overcame them, largely thanks to their consistency at the free throw line.
