NBA Summer League: AJ Dybantsa Vs Darryn Peterson + World Cup + Wimbledon

Last night, there were 7 games on what was an entertaining opening night of NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas. No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards edged No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson and the Utah Jazz, 92-88. Dybantsa lived up to the hype with 27 points and seven rebounds in his professional debut, while Peterson finished with 24 points despite facing constant double teams and committing eight turnovers. The Warriors knocked off the Mavericks 101-90 behind 25 points from LJ Cryer and a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double from Yaxel Lendeborg. Despite the loss, Mavericks rookie Morez Johnson Jr. turned heads with an impressive 27-point, eight-rebound performance. Tonight, we have Bulls vs. Grizzlies featuring top rookies Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson, plus Knicks vs. Nets and Lakers vs. Thunder as the league's next wave of stars continues to take center stage.
The FIFA World Cup is still going strong. France punched its ticket to the semifinals with a 2-0 victory over Morocco behind another standout performance from Kylian Mbappé and a second-half goal from Ousmane Dembélé. Today, there is a quarterfinal showdown between Spain and Belgium, with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
At Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic's had a dramatic five-set quarterfinal victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime that earned him a record 15th Wimbledon semifinal appearance, setting up another blockbuster showdown with World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Coco Gauff also lost in the semifinal.
