The New York Knicks currently lead the Philadelphia 76ers 2-0 in their Eastern Conference semifinal series after a 108-102 win in Game 2. The Knicks had already dominated Game 1 with a 137-98 victory, and the series now heads to Philadelphia for Game 3. Is this series over? Is a sweep inevitable? Is Karl-Anthony Towns a Hall-of-Famer? How do we decide what a Hall-of-Famer is?
Tonight’s NBA playoff slate features two pivotal Game 2 matchups with both series still early but already carrying major implications. In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Detroit Pistons at 7:00 PM ET with the Pistons leading the series 1-0 after a strong opening win. The Cavs are looking to respond and avoid falling into a 0-2 hole before the series shifts. In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers face the Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 PM ET, with the Thunder also holding a 1-0 series lead. Both road teams are under pressure to even their series before heading home, while the Pistons and Thunder aim to protect home court and take commanding control of their respective matchups.
