Last night’s College Football Playoff semifinal at the Fiesta Bowl was an instant classic: the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes defeated the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels 31-27 in a wild, back-and-forth game in Glendale, Arizona. Quarterback Carson Beck finished with 268 passing yards, two touchdowns and the late rushing score, while Miami’s offense and defense fought through adversity to secure the win and advance to the national championship game — their first trip since 2001. Ole Miss’s historic season (13-2) came to an end in heartbreaking fashion despite several big plays, including a long touchdown run and a late lead in the fourth quarter. Did you watch?
