The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 117-113 in overtime in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series last night, giving Cleveland a 3-2 series lead. Detroit controlled much of the game and held a late nine-point advantage in regulation, but the Cavaliers rallied to force overtime and pulled away in the extra period. James Harden led Cleveland with 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Donovan Mitchell contributed 21 points. Evan Mobley also had a strong all-around performance with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. For Detroit, Cade Cunningham starred with 39 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds, though the Pistons struggled late and could not close out the game. The matchup also generated controversy because of what looked like a missed call at the end of regualtion. After dropping the first two games of the series, Cleveland has now won three straight and enters Game 6 with a chance to eliminate Detroit. Can Detroit force a Game 7?
