Lawrence Taylor joins the Sports Shop and talks about UNC hiring Bill Belichick.

Lawrence Taylor is widely regarded as one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history, with a career filled with remarkable accolades. He was a 10-time Pro Bowl selection and an 8-time First-team All-Pro, showcasing his dominance throughout his 13-year career with the New York Giants. Taylor won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award four times (1981, 1982, 1986, 1990) and was named NFL MVP in 1986, becoming one of the few defensive players to earn this prestigious honor. He was pivotal in leading the Giants to two Super Bowl championships (XXI and XXV), and his performance in the 1986 season earned him a Super Bowl MVP nomination. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999, Taylor is remembered for revolutionizing the linebacker position, particularly as a pass rusher. His legacy includes being named to both the 1980s and 1990s All-Decade Teams and having his number 56 retired by the New York Giants, cementing his place as one of the most transformative players in NFL history.
