Dereck Whittenburg joins The Sports Shop to discuss being named the Grand Marshal of the 81st annual 2025 Crossroads Ford Apex ABC11 Raleigh Christmas Parade, his continued impact in the community, the impact of George Raveling and Lenny Wilkens, NC State basketball, the excitement surrounding the parade’s 80th anniversary celebration in downtown Raleigh and more. Dereck Whittenburg, the former guard from the national-championship 1982-83 NC State Wolfpack men’s basketball team, has been named Grand Marshal of the 2025 Crossroads Ford Apex ABC11 Raleigh Christmas Parade. The parade is scheduled for November 22, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Raleigh.
