Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander officially secured his second consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player award yesterday. Dominating the ballot, Gilgeous-Alexander claimed 83 out of 100 first-place votes to beat out runner-up Nikola Jokić and third-place finisher Victor Wembanyama. The back-to-back honor comes on the heels of a regular season where he averaged 31.1 points per game and guided the reigning champion Thunder to a conference-best 64 wins. SGA and the top-seeded Thunder host Wembanyama and the surging San Antonio Spurs for Game 1 of the highly anticipated Western Conference Finals tonight.
