It is Firebirds Friday! Wade Harris is the CEO, Director of Player Development and the Managing Partner of the Raleigh Firebirds. Narkie Nartey is the founder and CEO of The Wakaboomee Program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in North Carolina. Established in 2020, Wakaboomee is dedicated to empowering children, youth, families, and educators through a unique blend of mindfulness coaching, STEAM education, entrepreneurship training, and holistic wellness programs. Under Narkie’s leadership, the organization offers innovative services such as K–12 emotional resilience coaching, coding and arts enrichment, leadership development, and family-centered well-being support. With a strong focus on mental health, self-confidence, and purpose-driven learning, Wakaboomee is redefining what it means to nurture the whole child—and support the adults who raise and educate them.
