Both NC State and Duke football teams are playing tonight. NC State opens its season at home against the East Carolina Pirates with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. Meanwhile, Duke faces Elon in their season opener at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick is making his head coaching debut as the Spartans open their 2025 season under the lights. Norfolk State will host Towson at William “Dick” Price Stadium tonight with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. Also, Delaware State is playing tonight in a season-opening matchup against the University of Delaware. This game marks a historic moment, as it is the University of Delaware’s debut at the FBS level. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware. DeSean Jackson is the new head football coach at Delaware State University, appointed in December 2024 and officially introduced in January 2025. This marks his first college-level coaching role, following a standout 15-year NFL career.
