Indiana University has signed head football coach Curt Cignetti to a new eight-year, $93M contract, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in college football. The deal, which averages around $11.6M per year, comes after a highly successful debut season in which Cignetti led the Hoosiers to a 10-2 record and a College Football Playoff appearance in 2024. University leadership emphasized their full commitment to Cignetti, describing him as their top priority and pledging additional investment in coaching staff and player resources. The new contract, which runs through the 2033 season, increases the coach’s buyout from $10M to $15M. If Indiana were to terminate Cignetti without cause, the entire $93.25M would be guaranteed.
