So the deadline has passed for operators to apply for mobile sports betting by the ‘go-live’ date in the State of North Carolina … that deadline was Wednesday, but we know the 7 sports betting operators who have applied … FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, Fanatics, bet365, Penn Sports Interactive (ESPN Bet), Underdog Sports Wagering.

Hornets have a deal with bet365, Hurricanes with Fanatics, PGA Tour has FanDuel, and Quail Hollow is set with ESPN Bet

Committee has 60 days to review the applications, and betting won’t be live by the time the Super Bowl on Feb. 11. Commission has until June 15th to launch, but can do it sooner. Let’s say it is 60 days - looking at beginning of March? Maybe March 2nd for NC State at UNC? Then right after that on March 4th you have Duke vs NC State … Duke vs UNC on March 9th ACC Tournament starting March 12th … THEN NCAA Tournament?!?!
