The Nashville Sounds hit a pair of 8th inning homers to beat the Durham Bulls 5-4 in the first half finale.
Durham took a 2-0 lead in the first on a two-run shot by Curtis Mead, then snapped a 2-2 tie in the fourth when Heriberto Hernandez swatted a two-run homer.
Leading 4-3 in the eighth, reliever Justin Sterner permitted two home runs, one to Brewer Hicklen for the tie, then Eric Haase two batters later for the lead.
Then Bulls closed out the first half 36-39.
