Necas late 3rd period goal helps Canes escape with 4-3 OT win
It was not Carolina's finest performance. But, sometimes you get away with it because you have players talented enough to erase all the mistakes. Saturday night in Philadelphia Martin Necas was the "eraser" to the Hurricanes' pencil. His 3rd period goal gave them a chance. Then his overtime patience and supreme skating ability created Brent Burns' game-winner and gave the Canes 2 points they probably didn't deserve.
