Everything was going well until there was about 1 minute left in the 2nd period. Then the Devils scored twice in an 18 second span and Carolina went on to lose to New Jersey, 5-3, for their 4th straight loss. Pyotr Kochetkov struggled for the 3rd straight game and Carolina wasted two shorthanded goals, one by Jesperi Kotkaniemi and the other by Sebastian Aho in the loss. Carolina will head to Columbus to try and snap the skid on Thursday night.
