Svechnikov's brace, Andersen's 35 saves, pace Canes to 4-1 win over Blues
The Carolina Hurricanes won their 4th straight, a 4-1 win over the Blues, as Andrei Svechnikov busted out of a 19-game goal drought with a pair of 1st period goals. Andrei's 20th and 21st goals of the season staked the Canes to a lead they would never relinquish. Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis would add goals in the 2nd and 3rd period's, respectively as that trio accounted for all four goals and 8 total points on the night. Freddie Andersen's 3rd straight win continued his strong run of play. In his last three games he's sporting a save percentage of .959 and he is now 14-4-0 on the season. Carolina leads New Jersey by 5 points in the Metropolitan Division with a game in hand over the Devils. The Hurricanes are off for two days before hosting the Senators and Ducks in back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.
