Frederik Andersen's first start in almost 10 weeks was the panacea the Hurricanes were looking for. Andersen returned from a lower body injury to make 21 saves and posted a start-to-finish solid game in net for the Canes as they ended the 4-game losing streak with a dominant, 6-2 win over the Blue Jackets. The first five goals came from the blue line as Brett Pesce scored twice, Brent Burns, Jaccob Slavin and Jalen Chatfield added goals -- with Chatfield's coming shorthanded -- and Seth Jarvis broke through after an 11-game goal drought to close out the scoring.
