Mikko Rantanen factored in on all four Colorado goals and the top 5 scorers totaled all of the Avalanche points in the 4-1 win over the Hurricanes. Rantanen assisted on the first three Colorado goals before icing the game with a full-court sling into an empty net. Cale Makar scored twice and Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and an assist. Jordan Staal had Carolina's only goal and Antti Raanta made 24 saves in the loss.
