Carolina Hurricanes: Morning After all good things must come to an end

Rangers score 3 times in 3rd, snap Carolina's 11-game streak, 5-3

The Carolina Hurricanes' 11-game winning streak came to a halt at Madison Square Garden last night as the Rangers rallied with three 3rd period goals in a 5-3 win. Artemi Panarin, K'Andre Miller and Filip Chytl turned a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 win as the Canes also saw their 17-game streak with at least a point come to an end. Brent Burns, Martin Necas and Jalen Chatfield all scored for Carolina which lost in regulation for the first time since the day before Thanksgiving. Pyotr Kochetkov made his first start in 2 weeks and suffered his first regulation loss since that November 23rd game at home against Arizona. The Hurricanes will get back on the bike Thursday at PNC Arena when they welcome in Nino Niederreiter and the Nashville Predators.
