The Hurricanes winless streak continued with a 3-2 overtime loss in Boston. On the bright side, Carolina did score two power play goals. But, they failed on their next four tries and ultimately gave up a 2-0 lead when the second of David Krejci's two goals beat Pyotr Kochetkov midway through the 3rd period. David Pastrnak's 14th goal of the year won it for the Bruins in overtime. Boston is now 12-0-0 at home this season, the best in NHL history to hope a home schedule.
